MyTaleo creates personalized children's books featuring your child's name and photo. By placing an order, you understand that:

Each book is custom-made based on the information and photos you provide
Colors and appearance may vary slightly from digital previews due to printing processes
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all personalization details

5.2 Product Descriptions

We strive to provide accurate product descriptions and images. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions, colors, or other content are error-free, complete, or current.

6. Orders and Payment

6.1 Placing an Order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason.

Order confirmation does not constitute acceptance. Acceptance occurs when we ship your order or send confirmation of shipment.

6.2 Pricing

All prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include shipping costs or applicable taxes, which will be calculated at checkout.

6.3 Payment

We accept payment through secure payment methods including credit cards and other payment options available at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

By providing payment information, you represent that:

You are authorized to use the payment method
The information provided is accurate
You authorize us to charge the total amount to your payment method

6.4 Payment Security

All payment transactions are processed securely through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers.

7. Shipping and Delivery

7.1 Delivery Times

Your personalized book will be delivered within 5-6 business days after production. Delivery times may vary based on your location and shipping method selected.

7.2 Shipping Locations

We ship to over 30 countries. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout.

7.3 Shipping Responsibility

Once your order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, risk of loss transfers to you. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, weather, or carrier issues.

7.4 Tracking

You will receive tracking information via email once your order has been shipped.

8. Refunds and Returns

8.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order, please contact us within 30 days of delivery.

8.2 Damaged or Defective Products

If your book arrives damaged or defective, we will:

Replace the item at no additional cost, OR
Provide a full refund

Please contact us with photos of the damaged product within 14 days of delivery.

8.3 Order Errors

If there is an error in your order due to our mistake (incorrect personalization, wrong book, etc.), we will replace the item at no cost or provide a full refund.

8.4 Customer Errors

Because our products are personalized, we cannot accept returns for errors in information you provided (misspelled names, incorrect photos, etc.). Please review your preview carefully before placing your order.

8.5 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Depending on your bank, it may take additional time to reflect in your account.

8.6 Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement if production has not yet begun. Once production starts, orders cannot be cancelled.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Content

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of MyTaleo LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

9.2 User Content

By uploading photos and providing personalization details, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use this content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

You represent that:

You own or have the right to use any photos you upload
The photos do not infringe on any third-party rights
You have consent to use photos of any individuals depicted

9.3 Book Content

The stories, illustrations, and designs in our books are the intellectual property of MyTaleo LLC. You receive a personal, non-commercial license to use the finished product.

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use our services for any unlawful purpose
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or offensive
Upload photos without proper consent
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with the proper functioning of our website
Use automated systems to access our website without permission
Resell or commercially exploit our products without authorization

11. Photo Guidelines

When uploading photos for personalization:

Use clear, well-lit photos showing the face clearly
Ensure you have the right to use the photo
Do not upload inappropriate or offensive images
Photos should be of sufficient quality for printing

We reserve the right to reject any photo that does not meet our guidelines or violates these Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

MyTaleo LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product in question
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

Our website will be uninterrupted or error-free
Defects will be corrected
Our website is free of viruses or harmful components

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, government actions, or technical failures.

23. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.

23.1 Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)

For EU customers, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. However, this right does not apply to personalized products that are clearly customized to your specifications.
